Sautéed Pearl Oyster Mushrooms

Papa’s Recipe

Flavorful and Vegan!


  • 8-10 lbs Pearl Oyster Mushrooms, washed and cut
  • one big onion
  • one garlic clove
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. vegetable broth
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • two shakes of pepper


  • Cut onion into cubes
  • Press garlic
  • Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil in a big skillet
  • Add mushrooms and stir
  • Increase heat
  • Add vegetable broth and stir
  • Be sure to let mushrooms brown by pressing them against the pan
  • When mushrooms are done, add salt and pepper
  • Optional: add ground up chili and chives
  • Enjoy!
